Terms of Service
Last updated: July 17, 2026
These terms are short on purpose. They cover what OnlineSMS is, what you can and can't do with it, and what we promise and don't.
Acceptance of Terms
By using onlinesms.net you agree to these terms. If you don't agree with something here, please don't use the service.
Service Description
OnlineSMS displays free public temporary phone numbers and the SMS messages they receive. Everything is provided "as is": numbers come and go, and message delivery depends on carriers and the services sending the texts.
Acceptable Use
Use the service for legitimate purposes: testing, development, one-time verifications, and keeping your personal number private. You may not use it to:
- Break the law or help someone else break it
- Commit fraud, or bypass identity checks at banks and financial services
- Harass, impersonate, or deceive other people
- Register accounts on someone else's behalf without their knowledge
- Overload, scrape, or disrupt the site
Public Numbers & No Privacy Expectation
Inboxes on this site are public. Anyone can open a number's page and read its messages. There is no confidentiality for anything sent to a public number. Plan accordingly and read our Privacy Policy for details.
Paid & Partner Services
Some services we link to, including private number rentals, are operated by third parties. When you use them, their own terms and policies apply; your relationship there is with them, not with us.
Intellectual Property
The site's content, design, and name belong to OnlineSMS. You're welcome to link to any page; don't copy the site wholesale or republish its content as your own.
Disclaimer of Warranties
We don't guarantee that any particular number will work, that a specific message will arrive, or that the service will be available at any given moment. It's a free public tool: we keep it healthy, but without warranties of any kind.
Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, OnlineSMS is not liable for any damages arising from your use of the service, including missed messages, blocked or lost accounts, or anything a third party does with information from a public inbox.
Changes to the Service
Numbers change, countries appear and disappear, and features evolve. We may modify or discontinue any part of the service at any time without notice.
Changes to These Terms
If we update these terms, the new version will be posted on this page with a fresh date at the top. Continuing to use the site after a change means you accept it.
