OnlineSMS works without accounts, so we collect very little about you. This page explains what we do collect, why, and what happens to messages sent to our public numbers.

Information We Collect

You don't need to register to use OnlineSMS, so we don't ask for your name, email, or phone number to show you the site. We collect information in only two cases:

• If you use the contact form or email us, we receive what you send: your name, email address, and message.
• Like almost every website, our servers keep standard technical logs: IP address, browser type, pages requested. We use them to keep the site running and to spot abuse.

How We Use Information

We use contact messages to reply to you, and technical data to operate and improve the service. We don't sell your data and we don't build marketing profiles.

Cookies & Analytics

We use Yandex.Metrika to understand how people use the site: which pages are visited, roughly where visitors come from, and what gets clicked. It sets cookies to do this. You can block cookies in your browser; the site keeps working without them.

Public SMS Content

This one matters. Messages sent to our public numbers are displayed openly on the site, where anyone who opens a number's page can read them. Never send personal or sensitive information to a public number. Displayed messages are removed automatically, usually within about 24 hours.

Third-Party Services & Links

Some resources on our pages load from third-party servers, which means those providers can see your IP address when your browser requests them:

• Google Fonts (typefaces)
• Tailwind CSS and icon CDNs (page styling and images)
• Yandex.Metrika (analytics)

We also link to other websites, including private number rental services. They have their own privacy policies; what you do there is between you and them.

Data Retention

Public SMS messages auto-delete after a short period. Contact emails are kept only as long as needed to answer you and handle follow-ups. Technical logs rotate on a standard schedule.

Your Rights

Want to know what we hold about you, or want it deleted? Email us at [email protected] and we'll sort it out. Given how little we collect, this is usually a short conversation.

Children's Privacy

OnlineSMS is not directed at children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect information from them.

Changes to This Policy

If we change how we handle data, we'll update this page and the date at the top. Significant changes will be easy to spot; we won't bury them.
